Why Bala Yana
Children are growing up in a culture shaped by fractured media, relentless consumerism, and diminishing shared traditions. Parents want to raise kind, ethical, grounded humans—but many no longer have inherited frameworks to lean on. Bala Yana offers a new path: Buddhist values-based entertainment rooted in research, global wisdom traditions, and joy.
Our Name
Bala means “children” and yana means “path” in Sanskrit. Bala Yana is a modern pathway for children to encounter the dharma through age appropriate and creative new media. Unbound by traditional structures, we are free to find what lights up young minds and deeply connects them with their developing body, speech and mind.
Being wise is the driving force, being kind is the passenger, and morality comes along for the ride.
